Who controls your data
WazzUp operates this private-beta wellness service. Contact us through the official WazzUp WhatsApp conversation for privacy questions or requests.
Data we collect
We collect your WhatsApp number; messages and uploaded photos or documents; food, exercise, goals, body measurements and medical information you choose to provide; generated estimates; dashboard, consent and usage records; technical security logs; and subscription status. Health information is sensitive personal data.
Why we use it
We use the data to authenticate you, interpret your uploads, maintain your private journal and dashboard, show progress, support subscriptions, prevent abuse, secure the service, answer requests and comply with law. We rely on your express consent for sensitive health-data processing and on the service contract for necessary account and billing operations where applicable.
Service providers and transfers
Data may be processed by WhatsApp/Meta and Twilio for messaging, Cloudflare for hosting and storage, OpenAI for automated extraction, and Stripe for payments. These providers may process data in other countries under their contracts and applicable transfer safeguards. We do not sell health data or use it for targeted advertising.
Automated processing
Automated systems estimate foods, nutrients and exercise details. Outputs do not produce legal or similarly significant effects and should not be treated as medical conclusions.
Retention
We retain account and journal data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. After a verified deletion request, we aim to delete active data within 30 days; limited backups, fraud, security, billing or legally required records may remain for up to 90 days or the period required by law.
Your choices and rights
You may request access, export, correction or deletion, and may withdraw consent as easily as you gave it. In WhatsApp, send EXPORT MY DATA, WITHDRAW CONSENT or DELETE MY DATA. Withdrawal stops new health-data processing but does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful. You may also complain to the relevant privacy regulator.
Security and account access
Dashboard access uses a short-lived, single-use link delivered to the verified WhatsApp sender and a secure, HTTP-only session cookie. We use access controls and encryption in transit. No system is completely secure; report suspected unauthorized access through WhatsApp.
Children
WazzUp is for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly process children’s health data.
Changes
Material changes to health-data purposes or providers require an updated notice and renewed acceptance before further processing.
